Ingredients
- 1 loaf of crusty bread French baguette or sourdough, about 12–14 inches
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley finely chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the bread: Make diagonal cuts across the loaf about 1 inch apart, then cut again the other way so the bread forms a grid. Don’t slice all the way through—leave the bottom intact.
- Mix the garlic butter: In a bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Fill the bread: Carefully open the cuts and brush the garlic butter into each slice.
- Add cheese: Stuff mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan into the gaps, pressing it in gently so it melts evenly.
- Wrap and bake: Wrap the bread in foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Crisp the top: Unwrap and bake for another 5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve hot: Pull apart the bread pieces and enjoy immediately.
