Ingredients for Mini Meatball Cupcakes

How To Make This Mini Meatball Cupcakes
- Cook the meatballs following the package instructions, but reduce the cooking time by half since they will cook again in the Pillsbury crust.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Conveniently, this is the same temperature that the Costco brand meatballs cook at.
- Prepare the dough: While the meatballs are cooking, open the sheet dough and place it on a large cutting board. Use a pizza cutter to divide it into 24 equal squares.
- Grease the muffin tin: Spray a 24-count mini muffin tin with cooking spray and place each dough square into the cups.
- Add pizza sauce: Spoon about a teaspoon of pizza sauce into the bottom of each dough cup.
- Insert the meatballs: Place a cooked meatball on top of the sauce in each cup, pressing it down so the sauce spreads around it.
- Add more sauce: Spoon another teaspoon of pizza sauce on top of each meatball.
- Top with cheese: Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella over each meatball. You can add some parmesan if you’d like extra flavor.
- Bake for 10-14 minutes, or until the dough is fully cooked and golden.
- Cool and serve: Let them cool for a few minutes before removing them from the pan. For extra flavor, dip them in the remaining pizza sauce from the jar.

Storage Options
Store these in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe container for up to 6 months. To defrost, transfer from the freezer to the refrigerator overnight, then reheat in the microwave.
Variations and Substitutions
Here are some fun variations for Mini Meatball Cupcakes:

- Buffalo Style: Toss meatballs in buffalo sauce, top with blue cheese crumbles, and serve with ranch or celery sticks on the side.
- Taco Cupcakes: Season meatballs with taco spices, then top with shredded cheddar, sour cream, and salsa for a taco-inspired bite!
