Should I Cook Pre-Cook the Broccoli?
Whether or not to pre-cook raw broccoli before adding it to a casserole depends on a few factors. If you prefer your broccoli to be crisp and crunchy, it is best to add it raw to the Delicious Broccoli and Tuna Bake. However, if you prefer your broccoli to be more tender, it is recommended that you pre-cook it before adding it in. Pre-cooking can be done by steaming, boiling, or blanching the broccoli for a few minutes until it is tender but still firm. This will ensure that the broccoli is how you like it and is evenly cooked throughout the dish as it bakes. Ultimately, the decision to pre-cook the broccoli or not comes down to your personal preference and the desired texture of the finished bake.
How Do I Store the Delicious Broccoli and Tuna Bake?
This Delicious Broccoli and Tuna Bake can last for up to 3-4 days in the fridge when stored properly. To store it, make sure you let the bake cool down a little first. Depending on the container or pan you use, you could damage your fridge. Then, when you’re ready, place the contents of the dish in an airtight container. Or even keep the bake in its original dish and wrap it tightly with plastic wrap. I know I do this often, especially if there is a lid and I know we will be reheating it soon. Whichever way you store it, note that it is important to place the bake in the fridge as soon as possible to prevent bacteria that can lead to foodborne illnesses. When you are ready to eat, just reheat until hot. Enjoy!
